This picture taken while I
was 12 years in Matayom 2 or in the 6th grade. (The school system at
that time, 5 years for Primary, 6 years for secondary school, and 2 more years
for a pre university). During that time, the cowboy movie was my favorite
and I would walk many kilometers to see the movie in town. The
commercial mobile medical unit selling drugs showed the film in the rural
areas. They showed movie and got profits from selling drugs. So, the
cowboy movie was my favorite film. I had a toy pistol and it was my love!!
After completed 5 years at Ban Huatalay School I
continued secondary education at Rajsima Wittayalai School for six more
years. It was the provincial boy school and located behind the Chira
Railway station. My student code was 6004. While I was in the 9th grade I first
visited the USIS library in Korat in 1959.
I still
remember the name of my teachers. Beginning from Khru Art Boonyarit, Khru
Burapayong Buranamvisimit, Khru Suchada Sanunmuang, Khru Suwat Chuaprung, Khru
Chanin and Khru Payin. These were the teachers advised for the class I
attended. I was a fast track running, a soccer player so I remember my
coach, Khru Art, Khru Puan, Khru Thongsook Boonpayak.
My
classmates in the last year at Rajsima Wittayalai School are rarely to meet them
now. Many of them are in the high ranking with the Thai government, one at
Chiang Mai University. I did not meet my classmates while I visited my
hometown the previous trip, early January 1998. Where are those friends?
The school logo and slogan Mana & Winai. The slogan,
Mana (hard work) and Winai(regulation) are our motto. Many years later after I
completed the secondary school. The school building at Chira Railway station was
turned over to the army and the new school was locate at the new site. I visited
the new school a few times and I met my friend there ! Ajarn Chawalit who
is now the Director of Rajsima Wittayalai School.
Life in the
secondary school was so impressed both good and bad environment. However, I
appreciated the times I was there and will remember for ever. Many friends
I remember their names, Suwat at Chiang Mai University, Chawalit at Rajsima, Dr.
Chalermchai at Chiang Mai Education Office, Niti at the Agr. Extension Office in
Rajburi, Narong at the Agr & Coop office in Prachinburi. I think
some of my friends may find this page and it will recall the olden
days at our Rajsima Wittayalai School. Now I am a retiree living on
my own nature farm in northern highlands.
I enjoy working
with friends and other people to protect our nature and wildlife. I love bird, wildlife and lovely to visit national parks in northern.
